Hello, dear friends. It’s been awhile, but we’re happy to announce that we’ve been hard at work on our 4th full-length album.
Hello NYC-area friends! The ladies of Bobtown will be performing as The Bobtown Trio this coming Friday, June 29th at the American Folk Art Museum in upper Manhattan! This is a free show at the family-friendly hour of 6:30pm. With the exception of our toy Casio, the Bobtown Trio is all acoustic—just three women, some string instruments and a condenser mic. PLUS, we will be debuting a few songs off our upcoming album! Woohoo! We encourage you to check out the two acts scheduled before us: Secondstar and Izzy Heltai. Music begins at 5:30, and we’re up at 6:30.
For more information, visit the American Folk Art Museum site.
After a wee break, we're excited to hit the road for a series of summer shows!
Friends in the Philly area, we'll be at the Burlap and Bean in Newtown Square on Saturday, May 21. We're sharing the bill with our good friend Rebecca Pronsky. Rebecca has a wonderful new album out called "Known Objects", and we're so excited to finally do a show together!
The show kicks off at 7:30p. Tickets are $15 at the door, $12 in advance. Tickets are available here. Hope to see you there!
We're looking forward to great things in 2016!
What do we have in common with Lyle Lovett? We're playing the Philadelphia Folk Festival!
Thanks so much to the DJs who have given our new album a spin! We're thrilled and honored to see our album debut on the FolkDJ and Roots Music Report charts.
Last weekend, we had the honor to play "the big room" at the North East Regional Folk Alliance conference (aka NERFA) in Kerhonkson, NY.
